Caramel jar with brown sugar next to it - natural extract

A trip to France to discover the roots of our Salted Caramel Powder!

Are you ready to travel through taste?

Today Plant-Ex is taking you to Brittany France, where salted Caramel’s origins were traced back to Henri le Roux in his family pastry shop around the 70s. After years of testing and delicious food made with the salted caramel, we all understood that there is no such thing as too much salted caramel. That is why it takes an important place in our Natural Extracts portfolio. Maybe Le roux couldn’t make the salted caramel into powder but Plant-Ex sure certainly can! And that is with our in-house spray drying technology. Plant-Ex offers this product as water-soluble powder that is both heat and light stable. Besides, thermal processes do not affect it.

The Salted caramel powder by Plant-Ex can be used in Bakery, Confectionery, Snacks, Seasonings, Powdered beverages, and Sports. The advantage is in ease of handling from what is otherwise quite a thick, sticky paste.

Don’t you think it’s time to take your customers on a trip to France?
